Project Discovery

The client provides Rosemary Frei in person or by email/fax/courier with information on the scope and timeline of the project, as well as with background material such as clinical papers and/or product monographs. The deadlines are usually tight: from one day to two weeks. The documents to be written are usually targeted at specialists or primary care physicians and are 500 to 10,000 words in length. These range from abstracts of research to be submitted electronically for consideration as presentations at national or international medical meetings, to summary proceedings of sponsored symposia at major medical meetings, to clinical papers presenting results of single trials or reviews of sets of trials. Rosemary Frei and client agree on timeline for presentation of project

assessment budget by Rosemary Frei, and on deadline for each phase of the project. Rosemary Frei then evaluates the time and personnel required for the research, writing and editing phases of the project. Client and Rosemary Frei come to an agreement on the project's timeline and budget. Rosemary Frei is involved in every stage of the project, either completing some or all phases of the project herself, or closely supervising staff who complete the project. She has a reputation, based on more than a decade in the industry, for delivering clean copy on time and on budget.
Research/Preparation

Designated Rosemary Frei staff review the background materials provided by the client. They also commence any research required, such as acquisition of clinical papers or extracts from textbooks from university, hospital or pharmaceutical-company medical libraries in the Greater Toronto Area. The staff may also contribute information they have acquired at recent medical meetings. (Rosemary Frei staff attend meetings across North America and other regions ranging from Europe to the Far East, at a rate of approximately one meeting per month.)
Writing Process

The designated Rosemary Frei personnel then write the documents required by the client according to the agreed-upon deadlines. All documents written by Rosemary Frei are either written or edited by the head of the firm, Rosemary Frei. This ensures the client receives 'clean' copy that meets the client's length and style requirements. On the rare occasions when Rosemary Frei staff discover during the research or writing process that more time is required for completion of the project, Ms. Frei immediately communicates this to the client and comes to an agreement about revised deadlines and budget.
Client Review

Rosemary Frei e-mails or couriers electronic and/or hard copies of the completed documents to the client. The documents are transmitted to the client in sections or in their entirety, depending on the requirements of the client. The client (and their client, if applicable) then reviews the documents. The client then communicates to Rosemary Frei information for next and final drafts of the documents, when necessary.
Project Completion/Preparation for Next Projects

Rosemary Frei delivers the final documents to the client. Shortly afterward, Rosemary Frei may contact the client to review the project process and complete any fine-tuning required, on either side, to ensure the high quality of all future projects.
